100% Pinot Gris |
Well, if you like Pinot GRIGIO, you are in here for a good discovery: Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are exactly the same grapes; meanwhile they present very different characteristics.
Pinot Grigio are picked up earlier, and offer crisp, light and fresh wines.
Pinot Gris on the other side is left longer to mature on the vines, and displays fruitier, richer and more concentrated flavors.
taste a little sweet thus, as you drink, its a little thick. this is one of my favourite. It smells aromatic a mixture of peach, apricot & delicate fungus flavors, with a touch of honey and minerality.
I RECOMMEND THIS. THIS WAS THE FAV OF THE NIGHT.
Enjoy it with dishes in cream sauce, either fish or white meats, or try it with slightly spicy dishes

a very friendly & easy-drinking wine, packed with great aromas.
Its fresh, uplifting gooseberry and citrus aromas develop into
more exotic guava and mango notes. The palate equally overflows with grapefruit and lush tropical fruits, tangy acidity and just a hint of sweetness to round out the mouth.
As i drank this, it was thin, easy to drink and quite strong.
Perfect with fresh oysters, grilled prawns or octopus.
Monte de Peceguina ‘Branco’ – Alentejo, Portugal | 60% Antão Vaz, 20% Verdelho, 10% Roupeiro, 10% Arinto |
This is so easy to drink, quite strong
With citrus, peach, apricot and floral notes; intense flavors, but balanced with a great acidity. Enjoy it with roasted
Maison Arthur Metz have been based since its creation in the village of Marlenheim, in the northern entrance of the famous ‘Route Des Vins’, which follow the Alsace wine regions from North to South. Since its creation, they have been one of the major promoters of the wines from this majestic region across the World. Alsace, situated in the North-East side of France, across the border from Germany, produces mainly white wines, due to the cooler climate, less sun exposure, but also very dry condition and an amazing array of terroirs, which help develop a palette of flavors and complexity across each variety.
Perfect with prawns Al Ajillo, rich fishes or grilled white meats.
RED WINE
Cusumano Nero d’Avola – Sicily, Italy | 100% Nero d’Avola |
Nero d’Avola (also known as Calabrese) is the most important native Sicilian grape, found mostly solely on the Island. Avola is a village of the Southern point of the Island, in the province of Syracuse. The name translates as the ‘Black Grape of Avola’, and showcases the characteristic of the varietal: a grape with a deep black skin, giving a wine with intense color and rich aromas; it is often compared to Shiraz for the bold & rich wines it offers.
The Cusumano winery was established in 2001, when brothers Alberto and Diego Cusumano – 3rd generation of winemakers - took over the management of the company from their father, and decided on a large revamping of the winery and approach to wines. Based on the historical island of Sicily, in the Southern point of Italy, they chose to focus mostly on single varietal to express the pure expression of a grape, rather than the traditional blends. They now own 400 hectares of vineyards in prime location across the islands which allow them a drastic selection to produce the best wines representative of the Mediterranean climate.
The Cusumano is a perfect example: bold shiny red wines, fruit-driven aromas with a little creaminess and light spice on the finish; an unmistakable combination of black cherry and strawberry, balanced with juniper berries & coffee.
Mancura ‘Guardian Reserva’ Carmenère – Maipo Valley, Chile | 100% Carmenère |
Carmenère, like Malbec, originates from Bordeaux, and imported in South-America in the mid-19th Century. It was planted there heavily until the late 1800’s, but the Phylloxera destroys all the vineyards, and the wineries decided to focus more on Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon while replanting.
Now, it is considered as Chile’s National grape!
Mancura is a brand developed by Vina Morandé, one of Chile’s leading quality wine producers. Mancura, the Mythical Condor of the Andes is a recognized symbol in pre-Columbian cultures as the guardian of the crops.
This wine, sourced from the Maipo Valley, has been oak-aged for about 6 months; it offers aromas of forest fruits, combined with sweet notes of vanilla, tobacco and plenty of spices. It is fresh in the mouth with rounded tannins and very good structure and body, with flavours of coffee, red fruits and a light touch of leather and menthol. Enjoy with a rich meat stews or grilled rib-eye.
Peter Lehmann 'Wildcard' Cabernet-Merlot – South-Australia | 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot |
Founded in 1980 by the legendary Peter Lehmann, his son, Doug Lehmann now sits on the board and continues the family tradition. Peter Lehmann Wines is one of Australia's most respected wineries, creating wines that are highly regarded around the globe. It has earned international acclaim for producing one of the very best Shiraz from Australia.
Known for producing some of the best Shiraz in the world, Barossa wine growers are the fifth- and sixth-generation custodians of these vines.
The ‘Wildcard’ Collection is named in honor of the winning gamble Peter Lehmann took to establish his winery. It was hard times for winemakers and growers in 1979 but with the support of friends and family, Peter Lehmann Wines were born. Consistent quality at a great price means that these wines are never a gamble.
His Cabernet-Merlot showcases black cherry and the bouquet shows black currants with hints of violets. It is a well-structured seamless wine with a good depth of fruit on the middle palate and finishes with firm, yet gentle tannins.
Enjoy with roasted meats like beef or leg of lamb.
went home with a handpicked rose wine from david, a mini cert, wine talk magazine and manymore. i also realize the difference between a glass cork and a wooden cork.
glass cork- keeps it fresh and it is tight and there is no air going in, can last longer
wooden cork - its common and there is air going in thats why old wine needs to be decanter or shake it a little to let the taste comes out.
wonder why your corks always drops in your wine bottle? because it is not refrigerated right and its been out in the room temperature for too long.
